Team & Roles
How team management works in Spatiko — invite photographers and editors, set roles and permissions, assign shoots per session, and track payouts.

Once you’re not shooting solo, Spatiko gives your crew a real workspace of their own — invite people, decide what each person can see and do, assign shoots session by session, and pay your team automatically as work moves through your workflow. This section covers how those pieces fit together.
Bring your crew on board
You invite people by email from Settings > Team, choosing their role at invite time — the invitee can’t pick their own. Invite links expire after 7 days, and a pending invite can be resent or revoked at any point before it’s accepted.
Once someone’s on your roster, their status tracks whether they’re actively working with you: Active, Inactive, or Invite Pending, plus Locked or Removed for edge cases. Making a member inactive pulls them out of scheduling immediately but keeps their history intact, and you can restore their access later — removing them archives things more thoroughly, but even that can be undone.
Roles and permissions
Every member gets one of four fixed roles — Owner, Admin, Photographer, or Assistant — each with a sensible default set of permissions, from Assistant’s view-only access up to Admin’s full administrative reach. If the defaults don’t quite fit someone, you can fine-tune their individual permissions without changing their role, and reset them back to the role default any time.
Customizing permissions this way is a team-management feature available on higher paid plans — see pricing. Whatever role and permissions a member has, checks happen on the server for every action — not just in what buttons the interface shows them.
Assigning shoots and paying your team
Assignment lives on the session, not the order as a whole, so a multi-session shoot can go to different photographers for different sessions. When you’re picking who to assign, Spatiko narrows the list to members who are active, available, and set up to shoot — then filters further by which services they’re capable of and whether the shoot falls in their coverage area. An auto-assign toggle lets your public booking page suggest a photographer on its own when a client books directly.
Payouts run on the same structure: you set what each member earns per service or package they’re capable of shooting, and Spatiko resolves the right amount automatically whenever a session’s assignment or items change. Nothing here reads team size as a limit on how you’re allowed to grow your crew — plan-specific seat limits, if any apply to you, live on the pricing page.
