ChatGPT Ads Pixel on Order Forms
Connect the ChatGPT Ads measurement pixel to Spatiko order forms — which booking conversions are sent to ChatGPT Ads Manager and how consent gates it.
Last updated
Agents increasingly ask an AI assistant to recommend a photographer instead of scrolling search results — and ChatGPT sells ad placements to reach them. If you’re running ads in ChatGPT Ads Manager, the open question is whether they turn into bookings. This integration answers it: Spatiko loads OpenAI’s measurement pixel on your public order forms and sends booking conversions back to ChatGPT Ads Manager automatically, so you can see cost per booking instead of cost per click.
Like Google Tag Manager, this is one of the lightest integrations Spatiko has: no OAuth, no code. You paste in one ID.
Setting it up
- In ChatGPT Ads Manager, open the Conversions tab and create a pixel — copy its Pixel ID.
- In Spatiko, go to Settings → Integrations, find ChatGPT Ads under Analytics & Marketing, and paste the ID.
- Click Connect.
From then on, the pixel loads on your public booking pages — your storefront, every order form, and the booking confirmation page. It never loads inside the Spatiko app itself, only on pages your clients see.
Connecting requires a paid-plan feature (Marketing Pixels), the same one that gates Google Tag Manager and HubSpot. See pricing for what’s included.
Events Spatiko sends to OpenAI
With a pixel connected, Spatiko sends these conversions as visitors move through booking:
| Event | When it fires | What’s in it |
|---|---|---|
page_viewed | A booking page, your storefront, or the success page is viewed | The page context |
contents_viewed | A visitor picks an order form on your storefront | The form picked |
checkout_started | A visitor reaches the review step | Amount and currency |
lead_created | A visitor requests a quote | The lead |
order_created | A booking completes | Order id, amount, line items, and the client’s email as a hash |
That’s the whole booking funnel, ending in the conversion that matters — order_created is what lets ChatGPT Ads Manager tie a paid booking back to the ad that produced it. The email is sent only as a hash so the ad platform can match the conversion without Spatiko ever exposing the raw address.
Point your ads at your booking page
One setup detail decides whether attribution works at all: use your Spatiko booking page as the ad’s destination URL. OpenAI’s click identifier arrives as a URL parameter, so the click only attributes when it lands on the tracked page. If the ad sends people to your own website first and they click through to booking from there, the identifier never reaches the pixel and the conversion goes unattributed. The settings dialog shows your booking URL so you can copy it straight into the campaign.
Consent and the cookie banner
The pixel respects each visitor’s cookie consent — the same banner that governs Google Tag Manager tags:
- Opt-in regions (EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland): the pixel stays muted until the visitor accepts marketing cookies on the consent banner.
- Elsewhere: it runs by default, and visitors can opt out at any time via the banner’s manage link.
That’s a feature, not a limitation — it means running the pixel doesn’t put your booking pages at odds with your visitors’ privacy choices. One thing stays your responsibility: add your privacy policy under Settings → Legal, and Spatiko links it on the consent banner your visitors see.
ChatGPT Ads pixel or GTM?
They can run side by side, and they answer different questions. This integration is the direct route for one platform: booking conversions into ChatGPT Ads Manager with zero tag configuration. GTM is the general-purpose container for everything else — GA4, Meta, Google Ads — driven by its own dataLayer events. If ChatGPT is the only place you advertise, you don’t need GTM at all.
Disconnecting
Disconnect from the same settings dialog. The pixel stops loading on your booking pages and no further events are sent. Everything already recorded in ChatGPT Ads Manager stays there — it lives on OpenAI’s side.
Go deeper
- Google Tag Manager on order forms — the general-purpose container for every other pixel, and the consent banner both integrations share.
- Ad tracking for real estate photographers — how to read the booking funnel these events produce, and how to judge a campaign on cost per booked shoot.
- Reading your analytics dashboard — the booking numbers Spatiko tracks for you, no pixel required.
- Business profile, branding & legal documents — add the privacy policy Spatiko links from your cookie banner.
- Connecting your tools — how ad measurement fits alongside the rest of Spatiko’s integrations.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Google Tag Manager to measure ChatGPT Ads?
No. The ChatGPT Ads integration is direct — paste your Pixel ID and Spatiko loads OpenAI's measurement pixel and sends the booking events itself, no container or tag setup involved. GTM remains the general-purpose option for every other pixel.
Does the pixel run if a visitor declines cookies?
Not in opt-in regions. For visitors in the EU/EEA, UK, and Switzerland the pixel stays muted until they accept marketing cookies on the consent banner. Elsewhere it runs by default and visitors can opt out via the banner's manage link.
Does Spatiko send my clients' email addresses to OpenAI?
Only as a hashed value on the order-created event, so ChatGPT Ads Manager can match the conversion to the ad click. The raw email address is never sent.
Why aren't my ChatGPT ad clicks showing as conversions?
Check the ad's destination URL — it must be your Spatiko booking page. OpenAI's click identifier arrives as a URL parameter, so a click only attributes when it lands on the tracked page, not on your own website in between.
