Getting Paid: How Payments Work

How Spatiko handles payments for real estate photography — Stripe checkout, payment timing, invoices and receipts, and a pay-to-download gate.

Getting paid shouldn’t mean a separate invoicing tool and a trail of follow-up emails. Spatiko handles the money side of a shoot end to end — collecting payment from the client, generating the paperwork, and tracking who still owes what — all from the order itself.

Clients pay through Spatiko

Connect Stripe and clients pay right where they booked or picked up their media — never a separate payment link. Checkout leads with one-tap wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, and PayPal where the client’s device supports them, with a card form underneath.

The client's payment sheet — one-tap wallet buttons on top, a card form underneath, and a clear total before they confirm.

You set when payment is due

Payment timing isn’t a single site-wide setting — it’s a choice you make on each order form. Require full payment upfront to hold a slot, let the booking confirm now and collect on delivery, or invoice after the shoot with net terms. See when clients pay for how to pick per form.

Payment timing lives on the order form itself — upfront, on delivery, or invoiced with net terms.

Invoices and receipts, generated for you

Every order produces its own paperwork — an invoice if a balance is due, a receipt once it’s paid — numbered, rendered as a PDF, and attached to the order and the client’s confirmation email automatically. Each order also carries a payment status (unpaid, awaiting payment, partial, paid, overdue, refunded, or partially refunded), so you can see what’s outstanding at a glance. Media stays gated until you’re paid

Pair payment timing with the pay-to-download gate: clients can preview their gallery any time, but full-resolution downloads unlock only once the order is paid — whether that payment came through Stripe or you recorded it yourself.

Until the balance is paid, the client sees a locked gallery and a clear prompt to unlock it.
