AI Connections: Claude and ChatGPT
Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your Spatiko business, understand the permission tiers per area, and revoke access when you need to.
Last updated
Spatiko can connect directly to an AI assistant, so you can ask it to check your schedule, look up a client, or update an order in plain language instead of clicking through the app. This is done through a standard integration protocol, so the assistant reads and acts on your business data with your permission — nothing more.
Setting it up
Go to Settings → AI Connections. Spatiko offers guided setup for two assistants: Claude and ChatGPT. Choosing one copies your business’s connection URL to your clipboard and opens that assistant’s connector settings — you paste the URL there to add Spatiko as a custom connector.
Because the connection is a standard MCP (Model Context Protocol) endpoint, other MCP-compatible assistants can likely connect too — you’d add the same URL as a custom connector on their end. Claude and ChatGPT are the only two with a guided, one-click flow in Spatiko.
When you approve a new connection, you’ll sign into Spatiko, land on a consent screen, and — if you belong to more than one business — pick which business to connect. From there you choose what the assistant is allowed to see and do before approving.
What it can access
Access is split into four areas:
- Services & catalog — your services, packages, and order forms.
- Orders & scheduling — orders, including creating them, rescheduling shoots, changing status, and adjusting items and fees. Cancelling an order through the assistant can also refund it and remove media.
- Clients — your client directory.
- Team — team members, their roles, availability, and capabilities. The only thing an assistant can change here is per-service and per-package payout rates, which is governed by the same permission as catalog management.
Each area has its own tier, shown in Spatiko as Off → View → Edit → Full. Clients only goes up to Edit — there’s no way for a connection to delete a client. Team behaves similarly: no connection can remove a team member, even at the highest tier.
How permissions are bounded
A connection can never be granted more than the person setting it up is already allowed to do themselves. If your own role doesn’t allow editing the catalog, an AI connection you create won’t be able to either — no matter what you select on the consent screen.
This stays in sync automatically. If your permissions in Spatiko change later, any AI connections you’ve set up are re-checked on every use, so a narrower role narrows what they can reach immediately. See team and roles for how roles are assigned.
If an assistant asks to connect without requesting specific permissions, Spatiko defaults it to View access across all four areas. You can still widen that on the consent screen before approving.
Managing and revoking connections
Settings → AI Connections lists every connection you have, including who connected it, when, when it was last used, and a summary of its permissions per area (for example, “Services & catalog: Edit”).
From there you can:
- Adjust permissions on an existing connection — you’ll only be offered tiers your current role allows you to grant.
- Revoke a connection entirely, which cuts off its access to Spatiko immediately.
Revoking only removes the connection’s access to your Spatiko data — it doesn’t erase anything the assistant itself remembers from past conversations, since that’s stored by the assistant, not by Spatiko.
Plan availability
AI Connections is available on paid plans, not the free plan. See pricing for what’s included at each tier.
If your plan drops below what’s required, existing connections aren’t deleted — they’re paused and pick back up automatically once you upgrade again.
Note that AI Connections is separate from AI credits, which pay for Spatiko’s built-in AI features like photo tagging — connecting an assistant doesn’t spend credits.
