AI Credits: What They Are and What Uses Them
AI credits in Spatiko: what AI photo tagging costs, how your credit wallet balance is made up, which credits spend first, and how to buy top-up packs.
Last updated
Spatiko uses AI credits to pay for AI-powered features. Every business has a single credit wallet, and this page explains where those credits come from, what spends them today, and how to top up.
How your balance is made up
Your total balance is the sum of three balances:
- Monthly allowance — included with your plan. The Free plan includes none; paid plans include a monthly amount that resets each billing period. Unused allowance does not carry over to the next month.
- Bonus credits — occasionally granted by Spatiko. These never expire.
- Purchased credits — bought directly as a top-up. These never expire either.
When a credit-metered action runs, Spatiko draws from your monthly allowance first, then bonus credits, and purchased credits last. That order protects the credits you paid for, spending the ones that would otherwise reset or that cost you nothing first.
What spends credits today
Right now, the only feature that spends AI credits is AI photo tagging. When photos are uploaded or imported into an order, Spatiko can automatically analyze and tag each one by room type — Kitchen, Bedroom, Exterior Front, and so on — so you can group and reorder photos faster. You can always edit any tag by hand afterward.
Tagging costs a small, fixed number of credits per photo. Before it runs, you see a live estimate — photo count times cost — alongside your current balance, plus a standing reminder that AI can make mistakes and results should be reviewed before you deliver to a client.
For more on uploading and organizing photos, see uploading & processing media.
When your balance runs low
If your balance can’t cover a tagging batch, Spatiko won’t let it go negative — the action is either blocked or falls back to uploading the photos without tagging them. If a batch partially fails partway through, the unused portion of that reservation is automatically refunded to your balance.
Reviewing your credit history
The Credits card in Billing settings shows a transaction history of credits used, purchased, refunded, and granted each month, along with a breakdown of what you’ve spent credits on. See subscription and billing management for the rest of what lives in Billing settings.
Buying more credits
If you need more credits without changing your plan, you can buy a one-time top-up pack — Spatiko offers several fixed pack sizes. Purchased credits never expire and stack on top of your monthly allowance. Check current pack pricing and plan allowances on the pricing page.
