Saving Photos and Videos to Your iPhone
How to save delivered listing photos and videos straight to the Photos app on an iPhone or iPad with Save to Photos, and when to use Download instead.
Last updated
Agents often post straight from their phone, so a ZIP file isn’t always what you want. On an iPhone or iPad, Save to Photos puts your delivered photos and videos straight into the Photos app, ready to share or post. This guide is written for agents. Photographers can send it to clients who ask how to get their photos onto their phone.
Where you’ll find Save to Photos
Save to Photos appears when you open your delivery on an iPhone or iPad. You’ll find it in three places:
- The download dialog. When you tap Download All or download a selection on the delivery page your photographer emailed you, a Save to Photos button with the number of files appears next to the Download button. It saves the photos and floor plans you picked.
- A single photo. Open any photo full screen and tap the Save to Photos icon next to the Download icon at the top.
- Videos. Some videos delivered as files have a Save to Photos button next to Download. Not every video offers it — if a video only shows Download, download it and save it from the Files app, as described under big videos below.
In the client portal, you can save single photos and videos the same way. To save a whole set at once, open the delivery link from your delivery email.
How saving works
Saving takes two taps, because iPhone only opens its share sheet right after you tap something.
- Tap Save to Photos. Spatiko gets your files ready on the phone and shows a progress bar. Keep this page open until it finishes.
- Tap Save to Photos again when you see Ready to save. Your iPhone’s share sheet opens.
- Choose the Save option in the share sheet.
- Check Photos. When you see Saved, everything is in the Photos app under Recents. Tap Open Photos to go straight there.
Large selections and big videos
- Large selections save in parts. If your selection is too big to hand over at once, Spatiko splits it. Tap Save part 1 of 3, choose Save, and repeat for each part.
- Up to 200 files at a time. For more than that, select fewer or use Download.
- Big videos. If a video is too large for the Photos app, Spatiko makes a phone-sized copy on your phone first and shows its progress. Download still gives you the original.
- Videos that are too big even for that. Tap Download, open the file in the Files app, press and hold the video, and choose Share → Save Video.
- Not enough space. If your phone is short on storage, Spatiko tells you how much it needs. Free up some space and try again, or download instead.
Private Browsing
In a Private Browsing tab, Safari can only save smaller selections to Photos. If you see Not available in Private Browsing:
- Tap Copy link.
- Tap the Tabs button, then switch from Private to your regular tabs.
- Open a new tab, paste the link, and tap Save to Photos again.
When to use Download instead
Download always works, even when Save to Photos doesn’t. If something goes wrong, the error message gives you a Download ZIP or Download button so you can get your files the usual way. See how clients view and download their media for the formats.
On Android phones and on computers, there’s no Save to Photos. Use Download there.
If your photographer requires payment before releasing files, Save to Photos stays locked along with downloads until the balance is paid. See how clients pay and cancel a booking.

Save to Photos is only offered on an iPhone or iPad. On Android and on a computer, use Download instead — it works on every device and every browser.
